(wow it feels crazy that it’s been that long!)

….I picked up a professional camera for the first time.

My aunt was setting up her tripod to take photos of the fireworks on the Fourth of July in my hometown in Wisconsin. I could only see out of the viewfinder from my tippy toes. (But that didn’t stop me from trying).

She excitedly showed me what settings I needed to get the perfect shot and then gave me the freedom to experiment.

I had already been the photo taker and memory keeper in my family and friend groups for years with my little point and shoot camera.

WHAT A FUN PRIVILEGE to be able to bring up old photos and reminisce with my favorite moments with my favorite people. Photos have a way of transporting you back to a moment like nothing else.

During college, while studying abroad in Germany, I began to take photography more seriously and I started not only preserving memories, but creating art from them.

I started taking photos of anything and everything and anyone I could. Other women were carrying a purse. I had my camera draped over my shoulder. At all times.

Documenting my own life in this way made me realize: not everyone has access to this kind of art. The kind of art that captures a feeling & brings with it a wave of nostalgia. The kind of art that lets you relive the best moments of your life, over and over again.

Over the last decade, I’ve been lucky enough to tell so many stories, from weddings and small business ventures to the professional disc golf tour and personal brands.

I will be forever grateful for the trust my clients place in me and I will always show up with the same excitement as that little girl with the fireworks :)

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’d love to hear how I can help you :)
